There's no single "going rate" for a psychic reading, which makes this a tricky question — so let's answer it honestly and practically.
Why there's no one price
Psychic readings range enormously in cost, because "a psychic reading" covers everything from a quick one-line taster to a detailed, written interpretation crafted over time. The price depends on who is reading, what kind of reading it is, how long or deep it goes, and where you book it. We break those factors down in what affects the price of a reading.
So rather than quote a figure that wouldn't mean much, the more useful thing is to understand how pricing works and how to avoid overpaying.
The pricing models to know
Two common models, with very different risk profiles:
- Per-minute pricing. Common on phone lines — you pay by the minute. The danger is obvious: costs can quietly run up, and there's an incentive to keep you talking.
- Fixed pricing. You pay a set price for a defined reading, so you know exactly what you're spending before you start. It's the more transparent, predictable option.
Whenever you can, favour clear, upfront pricing over a meter that's ticking.
Expensive isn't the same as accurate
One honest warning: price doesn't guarantee quality. A high fee is not proof of skill, and some of the pushiest "psychics" charge the most. What actually matters is vetting, honesty, and transparency — exactly what separates a genuine paid reading from a free hook.
Spend wisely
Set a budget, choose a vetted reader with transparent pricing, and never let anyone pressure you into extra payments to "fix" a problem they invented — the "curse you must pay to remove" is a scam, full stop. Whether it's worth the spend comes down to the value you get, which we explore in is a reading worth it.
